About Helen

The Helen Rhiannon Label is designed and manufactured by 30 year old Helen Rhiannon Gill, who works from her design studio in Swansea, South Wales.

Helen began studying fashion in Comprehensive School which led her to study Fashion Design at the University of Westminster in London where she gained a B.A.(Hons.) in Fashion Design. During this time Helen was Highly Commended by The British Fashion Council in 2003 for a prestigious design competition. She returned home to Swansea in June, 2003, having gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience from her time in London.

After some time working in the industry, Helen officially launched the Helen Rhiannon Label on 1st March 2005. The Helen Rhiannon Label has since featured on television and in a wide range of publications throughout Wales and London.

Since being asked to design and make a dress for the international opera star, Katherine Jenkins, the Helen Rhiannon label has been projected into the limelight.

	In June 2007, Helen won Swansea Bay Young Achiever Award in Business and was also a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur category in Swansea Bay Woman of the Year 2007. In 2008, Helen was awarded Young Home Business Owner of the Year by Enterprise Nation. Since setting up the label in 2005, Helen has been involved in and organised a whole host of fashion shows and charity fundraisers throughout Wales and London, raising more than £12,000 for charity through these events. Many of these are featured in the News and Events section. Since November 2008, Helen has also proudly been a Dynamo Role Model with the Welsh Assembly Government. Through Dynamo, Helen is able to visit schools, colleges and universities to give inspirational talks on being in business and encouraging others to pursue their ideas and make their ambitions a reality. Helen is also a fully qualified teacher and lecturer which led her to set up the ‘All Sewn Up’ Fashion Workshops in October 2010. The workshops are designed to help people learn new skills or develop existing skills to allow them to be creative with their own wardrobe.

Since Helen Rhiannon Bridal launched in 2010, the label now offers a wide range of bespoke services for weddings, proms, pageants and special occasions. Accessories are now also available from the website. With a reputation for quality and perfection, the label has grown extensively since 2005 and Helen strives to continue to do so in the coming years.
