The “Helen Rhiannon” label is designed and manufactured by 29 year old Helen Rhiannon Gill, who works from her design studio in Swansea, South Wales. Helen began studying fashion in Comprehensive School, followed by a Foundation Course. She then studied for three years at the University of Westminster in London where she gained a B.A.(Hons.) in Fashion Design. During this time Helen was Highly Commended by The British Fashion Council in 2003 for a design competition. She returned home to Swansea in June, 2003, having gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience from her time in London.

After some time working in the industry, Helen officially launched the “Helen Rhiannon” label on 1st March 2005. The
label has since featured in Western Mail, Wales on Sunday, Swansea Life, Swansea Business Life, Llanelli Life, Cardiff Life,
Red Handed Magazine, ITV Wales and BBC Wales.

Since being asked to design and make a dress for the international opera star, Katherine Jenkins, the Helen Rhiannon label
has been projected into the limelight. In June 2007, Helen won Swansea Bay Young Achiever Award in Business and was also
a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur category in Swansea Bay Woman of the Year 2007. Helen was awarded Young Home Business Owner of the Year, 2008. The competition was a national competition run by Enterprise Nation.

More recently, Helen designed and made the dresses for Natalya Romaniw, for BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2009. The business is going from strength to strength each year.
